Choose your cenotes wisely!

Most people who visit Tulum want to see one of the limestone sinkholes known as cenotes. There are many of them around, and they vary widely in terms of size, price and attractiveness. If you want to save money, get the $6 double ticket for Cenote Escondido and Cenote Cristal just outside town. Other cenotes like Dos Ojos can cost up to $25 per person.

Mayam

The Mayam museum of Cancun is the most important new development that is run by the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico after the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City.

This museum ticket also includes access to the archaeological site of San Miguelito , through a path of the lower corridor of the museum. The site has at least four sets, consisting primarily of wooden and palm structures, likely houses, where mayan families lived during the last years before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors.

KUKULKAN Show

During the night tour through the archaeological zone of Chichén Itzá and within the show “The Nights of Kukulkan” you can discover the most important sites of this complex. The jaguar temple, the great tables and the warriors; the ball game, the platform of skulls or Tzompantli, eagles and jaguars and the platform of venus; Kukulkan Castle and the squares of a thousand columns.

• Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
• The roads are not paved.
• You can bring a bottle of water with you into the park.
• You can take pictures at the archeological sites and during the show however the use of flash is not permitted.

Isla mujeres

How to get there?

If driving: Drive to Chiquila (2-3h), where you can take a ferry. Ferries run daily throughout the day and you often don’t need to make a reservation.
If commuting: There are two buses a day that run to Chiquila from Playa del Carmen. Be aware that Taxis may be pricey!.

Underwater Museum of art

Is located in the National Marine Park of Cancun and Isla Mujeres. It has more than 500 sculptures installed on the seabed distributed in three galleries: Manchones Gallery, in Isla Mujeres where the sculptures are located 8 meters. (26 ft.) Deep; Punta Nizuc Gallery and Punta Sam Gallery, both in Cancun, with sculptures at a depth of 4 meters. (13 ft.).
